Cowboys roll past Commanders, who lose Jayden Daniels

Dak Prescott passed for 264 yards and three touchdowns and the Dallas Cowboys routed the visiting Washington Commanders 44-22 on Sunday.
Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels left the game on the opening drive in the third quarter with an apparent right hamstring injury after a strip-sack-fumble.
Cee Dee Lamb caught five passes for 110 yards and a touchdown for Dallas (3-3-1) in his return after missing three games with an ankle injury. Jake Ferguson had two touchdowns catches, and Javonte Williams rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Prescott, who improved to 7-0 at home against Washington, completed 21 of 30 passes as the NFL's top-ranked offense gained 409 yards.
Daniels was 12 of 22 for 156 yards and one touchdown. He also ran for a score.
Washington (3-4) was without injured wide receivers Terry McLaurin (quadriceps), Deebo Samuel (heel) and Noah Brown (groin/knee).
Dallas led 27-15 at halftime and Daniels fumbled when he was sacked in Dallas territory. The Cowboys recovered at their 45-yard line. Williams soon ran 17 yards to the 30 and Prescott later hit Ferguson for a 5-yard touchdown.
Marcus Mariota replaced Daniels. On third-and-6 at the Dallas 38, he was pressured and his pass was intercepted by DaRon Bland, who went 68 yards for the touchdown and the lead was 41-15.
Washington answered, driving 53 yards with Chris Rodriguez, Jr. scoring from the 3 with 2:35 left in the quarter to pull Washington within 41-22.
Dallas took a 7-0 lead on the opening drive A 37-yard pass interference penalty gave Dallas first-and-goal at the 2 and Williams scored on the next play.
After Williams was tackled for a safety, Washington got the ball. Daniels hit Chris Moore for 44 yards to the 9 and found Zach Ertz for a 5-yard touchdown. The two-point try failed and the Commanders led 8-7.
Leading 10-8, the Cowboys started from their 26. Prescott threw deep to Lamb, who caught it around the 35 and completed the 74-yard touchdown play with 4:27 left in the first quarter.
With Washington trailing 20-8 midway through the second quarter, Daniels drove the Commanders 68 yards for a score. Jeremy McNichols ran 19 yards to the 1 and Daniels bulled in with 45 seconds left.
That was enough time for Prescott to hit George Pickens down the left sideline for 44 yards, Adams to run 33 yards to the 2, and Prescott to hit Ferguson for a touchdown.
